Irish soprano Eimear Mc Nally is a native of Skerries, Co. Dublin.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Music from UCC and a first class Masters in Music Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, under the tutelage of Dr. Veronica Dunne. She completed further postgraduate studies at the Richard Strauss Konservatorium, Munich, Germany under the tutelage of Kammersängerin Gudrun Wewezow, Bayerische Staatsoper.

Eimear’s professional career has seen her enjoy a number of successes on German and European stages alike, working with conductors Phillipe Jordan, Tecwyn Evans, Alexander Annisimov, Carlos Dominguez-Nieto, Bruno Dal Bon, Christoph Spering, Laurent Wagner and Roberto Seidel, to name but a few.

Eimear’s solo contracts with opera houses such as the Prinzregententheater Munich, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf, Oper Duisburg, Vereinigte Bühnen Graz, Austria, have brought her considerable acclaim.
​
In 2005, Eimear returned to Ireland performing solo roles in several nationwide Opera productions with Opera Theatre Company (OTC) and Opera Ireland.

Eimear also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (UCD) and a Bachelor
degree in English Literature (DCU). She has been Musical Director for several school musical productions and is a registered teacher with the Teaching Council of Ireland. Eimear is also a member of the PPMTA and has been involved with them in many projects. She is an active member of the RIAM Teaching and Learning Network.
Eimear is a certified Vocal Health First Aider and continues to promote vocal health research and rehabilitation.

While participating in several music education courses, Eimear has contributed to
and participated in work with the Kodaly Society of Ireland. She has fluent German
and a working command of several other languages.
Eimear holds a certificate “Introduction to Children First”, from TUSLA (Ireland’s Child and Family Agency).
